This year I have completed (and started) a lot of advanced programming work as 7one8 design’s current house programmer.
As they keep me busy, I rarely update on these projects! It’s high time to mark a few odds and ends of the back-end work I’ve been doing for this AMAZING design firm.
This site features all the advanced features you could want, and more.
Advanced CSS for layout, customized look for each section, front page excerpts and scrolling RSS news ticker .. the works!
I can’t wait for this baby to fully launch!
BLOOM BLOG:
Just your run-of-the-mill–if you aren’t talking about quality of design, that is–wordpress theming job.
Including migration from wordpress.com to a hosted blog, completed to spec with great graphics by 7one8.
GAKcity.com needed an update, complete with a little forum widget, scrolling RSS news (people can’t get enough!), blog excerpts and image resize on the front page, and some ad management.
This site includes a great video upload manager by 7one8 as well. Looking good, kids!
MISC
This isn’t all I’ve been working on…
Myspace layouts:
Advanced CSS magic, along with some creative boggling of tables (sometimes you need to crack a few eggs to make an omelette, alright, you xhtml1.0 obsessives?!), led to great layouts for 7one8, Searching for Rick Rubin, and Teri Woods Publishing. Again, all the graphical elements by 7one8. This is purely code-flexing on my end.
Lots of SimplePie manipulation, from blogger feeds, to Wordpress, and back again. You can see it on 7one8’s homepage .. so you know it must be gold.
News ticker based around the prototype javascript framework.
LOOK OUT FOR MORE AWESOME PROGRAMMING PROJECTS IN THE NEW YEAR
